Shakib, Tamim among Bangladeshis in The Hundred draft

Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal are listed among top-priced overseas players ahead of The Hundred draft.

Apart from Shakib and Tamim, David Warner, Babar Azam, Nicholas Pooran, Kieron Pollard, Lockie Ferguson, Jason Holder, Kagiso Rabada and Quinton de Kock have also set their reserve price at £100,000.

254 overseas players have put their names up for grabs, only seven of them will be getting a team.

Liton Das, Imrul Kayes, Sabbir Rahman, Taskin Ahmed, Abu Hider Rony and Soumya Sarkar are other Bangladeshis in the draft. Liton, Imrul and Sabbir have set their reserve price of £40,000 while the other three do not have a reserve price.

Ex-Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi is in the draft with a reserve price of £80,000. Faf du Plessis, Dale Steyn, Imran Tahir, Marnus Labuschagne and Dwayne Bravo are in the draft as well.

The draft will take place of February 22 (Monday).

Eight teams – Manchester Originals, Northern Superchangers, Birmingham Phoenix, Trent Rockets, Welsh Fire, London Spirit, Oval Invincibles and Southern Brave – will take part in the inaugural edition of the 100-ball tournament in England.

Each team has to have 15 players in the squad, with maximum of three being overseas.

The tournament will be played from mid-July to September. Each side will play four home matches and four away matches before four teams make it to the play-offs.
