cricketers including some of the biggest names of world cricket.
It was earlier reported by the Pakistani media that at least two Tigers cricketers were approached for the league. However they never disclosed the identities of the players.
However, other sources hinted that Shakib and Tamin were the two Bangladeshis whom PCB is interested to sign up for the PSL.
“I will be available for the auction of the PSL. If any team picks me and there is an opportunity to play without hampering my national duty, surely I will try to participate in the tournament,” ace all-rounder Shakib was quoted as saying in the New Age.
However, the all-rounder who played almost all major cricketing tournaments around the world, couldn’t give any surity of his presence in the proposed tournament, “At the moment it’s too early to say whether I will play or not.,
Tamim Iqbal, Bangladesh’s leading run scorer in forms of the game, also echoed the same words, “If the board gives me permission I don’t have any problem playing in PSL.”
But again Tamim reminded that playing in the national team will always remain the top priority to him, “On top of everything, we need to make sure that we are not neglecting our national responsibilities.”
“I will ask for the NOC if any possibilities arise and if there is no problem with my participation than I may play,” Tamim also added.
In the meantime, BCB officials claimed they are yet to receive any request from PCB to issue any player an NOC for the PSL.
