Bangladesh team will leave for Sri Lanka on September 23 or September 24. But Shakib won’t be able to travel with the team because of his ban. Even he will have to practice separately. However, there will be no obstacle to return to the team once the ban is lifted. That’s why Shakib will be able to participate in the second Test which will start from the first week of November.

“Shakib can play from the second Test. Shakib will return to the country at the end of this month. He has chosen BKSP for practice. Even if he can’t practice with the team, any of our coaches will be able to work with him separately,”

Nazmul Hassan told Prothom Alo, country’s leading newspaper.

“Shakib will not be able to go with the team in Sri Lanka because of the ban. But we will try to take him 10-12 days before the second Test. He will practice there separately till the 29th, but our coaches will see what his condition is. They will be able to practice him alone if necessary. If these are done properly, Shakib will definitely play in the second Test,” he added.
