Shakib’s infection comes under control

Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has had something to be relieved when physicians reported that his finger injury is under control.

Currently staying in Australia taking treatment under Dr. Gregry Hoy, Shakib informed one of the leading dailies of Bangladesh, Prothom Alo, that he received the good news later or Tuesday.

“The report is good. The infection is under control. Full recovery will take time though,” Shakib said.

Another warm news is, according to physicians, Shakib might not need any further surgery in the little finger of his left hand.

He is now under taking of antibiotics after which Dr. Hoy will go through to look at the infected finger.

It is earlier confirmed that the world number one all-rounder will be out of action for three months.

Shakib left the team of Asia Cup in Dubai before the vital semi-final clash against Pakistan with a swollen finger.

Doctors of Apollo Hospital in Dhaka removed substantial amount of pus from his finger later.
