Shamsi tops Rashid as No.1 T20I bowler
South Africa left-arm chinaman spinner Tabraiz Shamsi has taken the No.1 spot in ICC men’s T20I rankings for bowlers.
Shamsi, who has 733 points, is the number one for the first time in his career. He took six wickets including a career-best 4/25 during the tour of Pakistan last month.
Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan (719 points) has slipped down to No.2 following the series against Zimbabwe in the UAE despite taking six wickets.

Meanwhile, Englishman Dawid Malan (892) still rules the batsmen’s rankings. India captain Virat Kohli, who was the player of the five-match series for scoring 231 runs against England, has moved one place up to four, displacing his compatriot KL Rahul who had a lean series.
Rohit Sharma is now 14th in the rankings after his quick-fire fifty in the series-deciding final T20I.
New Zealand’s Devon Conway is ranked ninth ahead of three-match home series against Bangladesh.
Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi holds the No.1 spot in all-rounder rankings with 285 points, 17 points ahead of number two Shakib Al Hasan.
