KARACHI: Pakistan's opening batsman Shan Masood thanked Mohammad Rizwan for helping him develop his game and boost his confidence.
Pakistan's first batter, Shan Masood, has credited Mohammad Rizwan for his recent success, saying he learned from him how to act in different situations at the head of the order.
Shan, who played for Multan Sultans in the 2022 Pakistan Super League under Rizwan's guidance, was a sensation for his side during the event and he continued his spectacular form, shining at the 2022 County Championship for Derbyshire.
“I will give a lot of credit to Mohammad Rizwan as he helped me develop and grow my game. I've learned to be flexible and believe that even at the top of the order, I can make a difference, no matter what the situation. "
Shan, who is enjoying a stellar season with Derbyshire in England, shared the Multan Sultans dressing room with Rizwan in the Pakistan Super League, where he finished the seventh season as the third-best run scorer.
The 32-year-old, who leads Derbyshire in the T20 Blast, has hit 366 runs in 10 innings with a 45.75 average.
The left-hander went on to say he's also benefiting from playing with Rizwan in the T20 Blast.
"Even when I'm playing T20 Blast, I always remember what Rizwan used to say and how to go about things. You need to be flexible and switch accordingly because one day you need to be chasing about 150 and score 70 balls out of 55 while one day you need to be chasing about 240 and score 100 points on 55 deliveries," he concluded.
