Shoaib thinks Younis has no qualifications to be the batting coach

Pakistani speedster Shoaib Akhter slammed Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for appointing legendary batsman Younis khan as the batting coach. The pacer feels that Younis doesn’t possesses any quality to be the coach of Pakistan team.Younis Khan was appointed as the batting coach of the Pakistan national team on June 9.

With the England tour looming, Younis was tasked with overseeing the team’s batsmen. But former Pakistan speed-star Shoaib Akhtar has questioned Younis’ qualifications. According to him, Younis has no qualifications to be the batting coach of the Pakistan national team. Mohammad Yusuf is much better than him.

Shoaib Akhtar, popularly known as’ Rawalpindi Express’, told a Pakistani television channel, ‘”Younis Khan has wrongly been made batting coach, he should be training players in the National Academy with Mohammad Yousuf as the Pakistan batting coach,” said Akhtar.

Shoaib said it would have been better to have Yusuf instead of Younis. “I think Yusuf is the most deserving person to be the batting coach of the national team,” he said. Yusuf was also a great batsman in his playing career. Pakistan has won a lot with his hand. His experience would have been very useful for the younger generation.”

“PCB is mismanaged. The more you keep good people away, the further cricket will go downhill. If I got a chance to work in PCB, I’d bring in foreign investment. I would work for free and ensure that no one calls me up and tells me to select their kid,” he said.
