Shuvagata eager to perform in all departments
Shuvagata Hom has been in and out of the team throughout his career. Still he is looking forward to do something for the team and wants to do well in batting, bowling and fielding.
Shuvagata was present at a press conference at Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka after conditioning camp on 11 August (Thursday). He spoke about his batting and told that he feels comfortable batting at middle-order.
“Sometimes I am a lower-order batsman, sometimes a middle-order batsman or sometimes I play as a spinner. Actually, I am trying to get back my form,” Shuvagata said, “I like to bat at middle order. But for team combination, I had to play as a lower-order batsman or as a spinner. But all these decisions are taken by team management.”
Shuvagata made his ODI debut in 2011 and haven’t come back to this format. He was benched for Test series against South Africa last year. He made his T20I debut in Zimbabwe series this year and also played ICC World T20 2016 in India where he played three matches in the event.
Shuvagata Hom has played 7 Tests, 4 ODIs and 5 T20Is for Bangladesh so far.
