Smiling is the best revenge: Akbar Ali
Bangladesh Under-19 team captain Akbar Ali has returned Bangladesh with a historic World Cup trophy. He has returned home after the reception at the airport and Mirpur. Before going home, he has revealed the secret of keeping his head cool even under pressure.
The youngster had been batting with a smile against the sledging of his opponent India in the finals. With his hand, the youth Tigers won the World Cup for the first time in their history. While leaving, Akbar laughed and said, “Smiling is the best revenge.”
Before leaving the academy, the captain of the young Tigers said,
“Whenever you play with India, it is not like that you only play 50 overs. It is difficult. If you put them under pressure, your chances of winning increase. I read in a place that smiling is the best revenge.”
“As much as they were sledging, I was thinking as much as I could laugh at that moment, maybe it could have a different effect on them. That was the endeavor. Anger remains in everyone. The more effort there is in the field, the less it can be expressed. My teammates may be able to say it well. I try not to make it public,” Akbar added.
