Smith made 63 runs off 44 deliveries hitting 5 fours and 3 sixes with the bat and then took two wickets for 19 runs with his leg-spin.

Barbados put 156/6 in 20 overs after being sent in to bat. The Tridents lost Dwayne Smith, Hashim Amla and Martin Guptill in quick succession after a steady start. Steve Smith handled the innings with a 103-run stand for the fourth-wicket with Shai Hope.

Smith reached his fifty in 35 balls as he built on a challenging score. Hope scored 35-ball 43 runs with 2 fours and 3 sixes. Tallawahs skipper Andre Russell took 2 wickets for 32 runs.

Johnson Charles and Glenn Phillips made the target look gettable as they put on 80 runs for the first wicket. Then came leg-spinner Smith, who sent both batsmen in the 10th over. Charles was the first to go, scoring 32-ball 42. Phillips departed with 36 off 24.

Pakistani seven-footish Mohammad Irfan later dismissed Kennar Lewis. It was all upto New Zealander Ross Taylor and South African David Miller.

Tallawahs required 9 off the last over bowled by Raymon Reifer. Taylor took a single on the first ball and then Miller ran three on the next ball. Taylor was beaten before taking single on the fourth ball. Miller missed the ball on the fifth ball, making it 4 off 1. The Protea batsman could only take one run as Tridents won three out of three with 2-run victory.
