Smith wants to fix the trouble of batting collapse before Ashes

Smith wants to fix the trouble of batting collapse before Ashes Both Test matches of the series between Bangladesh and Australia have been finished within four days. Crumbling against spinners became a common phenomenon for batsmen of both teams in the just completed Rocket Test series where Steven Smith and Mushfiqur Rahim shared the trophy.

After his team managed to level the series in Chittagong, Australian skipper Steven Smith said the team must recover their tendency of batting collapse before the forthcoming Ashes series.

Australia lost 3 wickets in their chase of 85 runs to win the series deciding Test match on Thursday evening at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in the port city.

“Those batting collapses, they’ve become quite a regular occurrence for us,” Smith said after Australia slipped to fifth place in test rankings despite the win,” he said.

“It’s something we need to rectify. We get ourselves into good positions and then can’t go on with it. That’s something we have to fix.”
