Snake interrupts play in the opening day of Ranji Trophy
The Ranji Trophy game between Andhra and Vidharba had a delayed start as a snake went inside the ground soon after the toss at Vijayawada.
India’s biggest first-class cricket tournament Ranji Trophy has been started today for this season. The opening day of the tournament had an interesting incident earlier as a snake entered into the playing arena.
In the gane between Andhra and Vidharba at Vijayawada, players were ready to kick start the match and unexpectedly they had a new visitor in the ground. The snake occupied some time in the ground and as a result play was halted for some time.
Ground staffs entered into the ground and put some efforts to take the reptile out of the ground as it was rolling in the ground for a considerable time. Even though there was no panic among players, the reptile took some moments in the field.
Animal attacks are a common thing in the cricket grounds. But these kind of snake entries are very rare thing. Last year during the Test series between England and Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka, there had a snake as a visitor for England’s training session.
SNAKE STOPS PLAY! There was a visitor on the field to delay the start of the match.
