Sohag's test on January 24
The bowling action of national off spinner Sohag Gazi will be re assessed in Chennai on January 24.
The International Cricket Council ( ICC ) arranged this date after the Bangladesh Cricket Board ( BCB) requested them to assess his bowling action.

Sohag had been working with spin bowling coach Ruwan Kalpage to correct his action, and bowled in the Dhaka Premier league with reasonable comfort.
Sohag said he had similar problem like Sri Lankan off spinner Senanayeke, but he has worked on his landing and feels that he can get more turn with his new action, “I have forgotten my previous bowling action. I haven’t changed things much, but I feel more comfortable with my new action. I have tried this action in the Dhaka Premier league and was quite successful.”
If he fails this time around, he cannot apply for a re test for the next one year, shutting down all doors for him to return to international cricket in this period.
