“Once I played with Mashrafe; it’s amazing how he controls the ball even after so many days and so many wounds. It’s really amazing. He could have been a better pacer if he had not to go through so many injury troubles,” Vaas said while talking to one of the leading dailies here in Bangladesh

“In last few years, I’ve been watching him as a captain – he is truly inspirational. It’s hard not to praise him in this regard,” Vaas added.

About Mustafizur Rahman, who was among the highest wicket taking bowlers in the just completed Asia Cup, the former Lankan great said he (Fizz) has a great future ahead.

“I’ve seen Mustafizur – he is genuinely talented. But he needs to be taken care of more. Fitness is the most important issue here. A good level of fitness would bring the most out of him. Looking at his Asia Cup performance, I feel like he is coming back, gaining confidence like before. I believe there is great future lying ahead for him in team Bangladesh” Vaas noted.

Not only that Chaminda Vaas said Bangladesh as a team, progressed a great lot in recent years.
“Amazing, Bangladesh have gained a respectable place in world cricket now. I believe soon they would come out with trophies. I’ve seen a great future ahead,” Vaas added.
