As a result of consistent lack of performance with the bat, Bangladesh opener Soumya Sarkar has been terminated from the central contract of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). The left hander, therefore, conveyed strong hopes of making a return soon.
“I don’t think of being left out from the board contract,” he said; “That wasn’t within my reach, so it is better not to think over that much. If I can play well, the board could take me again.”
Rather Soumya is pondering over his responsibility, he said, “I should think how much I can provide, what mistakes I am committing right now. I’ve talked with all my coaches. They advised me to work upon my lacking.”
“I’m also concentrating to enhance my skills in batting. Yes, I’m now facing bad times. It’s better to be in bad patches sooner because now, I will have more time to recover,” Soumya Sarkar said.
“I have been trying hard to gain form. I hope I will be able to be in the team soon enough and catch my position once again. If I can perform well, I will regain my position soon” he said.
Soumya played in the last match Bangladesh played in the Nidahas Trophy.
