Soumya enjoys his best ranking position
For the last several months Soumya Sarkar is the greatest advertisement of Bangladesh cricket in the fifty over matches. He has been carrying the highest ranking position among Bangladesh batsmen in ODIs.
In the last published official ranking of International Cricket Council, Soumya has lifted himself one more step chasing down Aussie hard hitter Steven Smith who has failed to make good remarks in the last several matches of the season against England.
Smith got one step down in number 16th position with 657 ranking point while Soumya captured his position with 671 points. The Bangladesh youngster is now in 14th position which is the best ever ranking in his short career.
Test skipper Mushfiqur Rahim has also made a short leap; he is now in the 19th position instead of his previous best of 20th.
South African great opener AB De Villiers, Proteas Test captain Hashim Amla and India’s stylish middle order batsman Virat Kohli are holding the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively.
