Spontaneous participation in IPL by the Bangladesh players are not a usual scenario. The opener is yet to be called by any Indian Premier League franchise team. Therefore the dream to play in the largest cash rich league in the world has remained unfulfilled. On Friday (26 June), Soumya Sarker was a guest in BDCrictime special live show, where he talked about his career, cricket and upcoming goals.

“Always. I have the desire to play in IPL all along from the very beginning. If I could play in tournaments like IPL, I could have idea about my capabilities.”

Soumya believes that, to make a space in IPL, one has to prove his worth before he is called. Therefore, not only to know about his worth, Soumya wants to learn from the experienced campaigners from the tournament.

“It’s a opportunity to play against the top rated bowlers in the World. Dressing room is shared with the big names of cricket from which opportunities to learn a lot is gained. I have the earnest desire to play in IPL in the upcoming futute,” said Soumya.
