South Africa considering to tour Pakistan in March

South Africa are considering to make a short tour to Pakistan in March this year to play three matches of the shortest format.


The fate of the probability of the tour would depend on the security assessment of a South African delegation to the country during next month. It is reported that a several Proteas security experts led by Rory Steyn will travel to Pakistan either during Bangladesh’s Test series or in the time of Pakistan Super League (PSL).

The delegates will scrutiny the hotel arrangements, transportation and stadium condition during a live match.

On their return, they will hand their report to Cricket South Africa upon which the final decision would be taken.

South Africa last toured Pakistan in October 2007. Later in 2010 and in 2013, they had confronted Pakistan in neutral venues.

According to the current Future Tour Program of ICC, South Africa are scheduled to visit Pakistan to play three Twenty20 and two Test matches in February 2021.
