Special flights’ for IPL players

After a lot of speculation and dilemma the Indian Premier League (IPL) is going to be played on the field. However, it is not possible to organize it in India this time. Due to the deteriorating situation in India, this year’s IPL will be held in the United Arab Emirates. Therefore, the franchisees have started arranging special flights or chartered flights to take the players to the country.

Finally, the pace of the thirteenth edition of the IPL is going to be held. As the coronavirus situation in India is deteriorating, it was thought that it would not be easy to host the IPL on Indian soil soon. Therefore the authorities have decided to went abroad to host the cash rich league.

A meeting of BCCI officials has initially decided to host the IPL in the United Arab Emirates. It has been hinted that the 13th edition of the IPL could be held from September 26 to November 7 this year. A final announcement may be made next month, in the first week of August.

The tournament is still more than two months away from the proposed date. But in the meantime, the franchisees have started looking for special aircraft. Because most of the world’s aircraft are still closed due to the coronavirus. It will not be easy to supply players and management to the eight teams in the IPL, depending on some of the aircraft that are running regularly. So the teams will go to the UAE on a chartered flight.

In this case, some franchises have planned that their players will be brought together in India first. Then the whole team will fly to India on a chartered flight.
