Sreesanth earns respect of man who slammed him for sledging

Kerala fast bowler Sreesanth hogged the limelight recently after he made a great comeback to competitive cricket during the match against Puducherry. The fast bowler made an instant impact with the ball by taking a wicket in his second over itself.

The pacer got rid of Puducherry opener Fabid Ahmed by shattering his off-stump at the best scene. With this wicket, he announced his arrival to the game after serving a seven-year-long ban from the sport.

However, his performance in the second game against Mumbai wasn’t up to the mark. He went wicketless in the match and was tonked to all parts of the ground by Mumbai batsmen. Sreesanth ended up as the most expensive bowler of the game as he conceded 37 runs in his quota of 4 overs.

The 37-year-old pacer who is known to sledge opponents during the game tried to mess with Mumbai’s 19-year-old youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal. The incident happened when the youngster tried to hit a big shot but ended up missing the ball completely.

After a swing and a miss, Sreesanth went up to him and said something. Jaiswal responded him with the bat by smashing 2 sixes and a four in the over. Meanwhile, Sreesanth was slammed by a Twitter user for sledging a cricketer almost half his age.

The user wrote, “Someone tell @sreesanth36 a long run-up & sledging doesn’t make anyone a world-class fast bowler. But getting hammered after you sledge makes it clear you’re more bluster than a bowler.”

Sreesanth who came across the tweet replied to the man in the best way possible. He tweeted that he usually gives his best on every ball he bowls and also praises the young batsman Jaiswal adding that the 2 sixes he smashes were superb pickup shots. The pacer also went on to wish the best for the youngster.

Sreesanth wrote, “Thanks a lot for the information..really appreciate,u took time out to write this. I always give the very best to every delivery, and that was some great pick up shots and he is a very good and he is gonna keep getting better, proud of the way he plays and may God bless him and family (sic).”

The user was quite impressed by the pacer’s reply and added that he earned his respect. You just earned my respect!🙌

The man once again wrote adding that he learnt a good lesson from Kerala pacer about how to take criticism and was also impressed the way he replied to the criticism. The user was quite impressed by the pacer’s reply and added that he earned his respect.
