Sreesanth picks Harbhajan, Raina in India XI for T20 World Cup
The highly-anticipated 2020 T20 World Cup tournament still is on the line with the international cricket body likely to decide its fate in July. It is not certain due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic that has ruined the cricket schedule.
Cricket Australia already gave an official confirmation about its inability to host the marquee event this year amid the novel coronavirus epidemic. This means it is more likely that the tourney will be postponed to early next year.
Meanwhile, S Sreesanth had picked up a fascinating India playing XI for the 2020 T20 World Cup. The fast bowler had shared the national team dressing room with some of the finest Indian players in the truncated version of the game, including the likes of Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh.
Sreesanth strongly believes the duo should be given an opportunity in the T20 World Cup. Sreesanth picked Rohit Sharma as the regular opener and the latter will be partnered by either Shikhar Dhawan or Sanju Samson.
Virat Kohli will be leading the side and experienced players like MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina have been featured in Sreesanth’s XI. The all-rounders Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Harbhajan Singh follow next on the list. The pace unit comprises Bumrah, Saini and Sreesanth (12th man).
