Sri Lanka announce squad for Bangladesh ODIs, Dananjaya returns

The Sri Lanka selectors panel have announced the 17-man squad for the bilateral limited over series against Bangladesh that consists of three ODIs.

Five changes were composed in the squad from their World Cup combination. Akila Dananjaya, Shehan Jayasuriya, Lahiru Kumara, Wanindu Hasaranga and Dasun Shanaka are the names that included in the squad.

There is still no place for Niroshan Dickwella, Danushka Gunathilaka or Lakshan Sandakan. Dimuth karunaratne will lead the side.

First bowlers Lahiru Kumara and Dasun Shanaka have made their way into the team. 21-year old all-rounder Hasaranga who last played an ODI back in January 2018 is also listed in the squad.

Jayasuriya also returned from his last year stint, has been taken into the 17-man squad after scoring 320 runs in four innings during the Sri Lanka A’s tour to India.

The three match series will start in 26th of July in Colombo followed by the second match in 28th and the last in 31st of this month.

Dimuth Karunaratne (capt), Kusal Perera, Avishka Fernando, Kusal Mendis, Angelo Mathews, Lahiru Thirimanne, Shehan Jayasuriya, Dhananjaya de Silva, Dasun Shanaka (Only 2nd and 3rd ODI), Wanindu Hasaranga, Akila Dananjaya, Amila Aponso, Lasith Malinga (only 1st ODI), Nuwan Pradeep, Kasun Rajitha, Lahiru Kumara, Thisara Perera, Isuru Udana.
