Sri Lanka will take on Pakistan in the second friendly which begins on Sunday (24 July). The team led by Babar Azam achieved the most successful chase in the first test at the Galle Stadium, beating the hosts by four wickets.
Sri Lanka were feeling confident after a stunning win against Australia recently at the Galle International Stadium. But a crushing loss to Pakistan in the final test served as a reality check. Led by Dimuth Karunaratne, the side are keen to bounce back from their recent defeat and become heroes again.
Sri Lankan batters need to do better. Dinesh Chandimal, Oshada Fernando and Kusal Mendis got half centuries, but the others left no mark. As for the bowling department, Prabath Jayasuriya remains the best choice. The freshman scored a 9-wicket move in his second game. However, the other bowlers have to step forward and support him to bring the visitors to their knees.
While Pakistan became the first team to successfully chase more than 300 players in the fourth innings at Galle International Stadium, there were cracks in their armor as well. Babar Azam and Abdullah Shafique were the only sluggers to click. Their bowlers were in good form and would try to continue their performance.
While Babar Azam will be looking to continue his side's good run in Galle, the hosts remain formidable opponents, particularly with their new signing Jayasuriya. It could all depend on how the bats of both units play spinners on that stretch.

Match Preview

Sri Lanka (SL) will face the challenge of Pakistan (PAK) in the second game of the bilateral Test series in Galle. In the first Red Ball match, Pakistan won the game by four wickets. After leading by four runs in the first innings, Sri Lanka set the visitors a goal of 342. However, Pakistan's batters were clinical to successfully chase the highest total ever at the venue.
In this game, Pathum Nissanka can replace Oshada Fernando, while Lakshitha Manasinghe is likely to make his debut in Sri Lanka's XI in place of the injured Maheesh Theekshana.
Pakistan will be without Shaheen Afridi's services due to a knee injury, with Haris Rauf replacing him in the line-up.

Pitch Report and Conditions

Conditions in Galle are expected to be good but will deteriorate quickly. From day 3 a lot of rain is forecast. As a bettor, you should be aware that a tie is one of the rarest places in Galle. However, with so much rain, it might be better if you choose the 'tie no bet' option. In such a scenario, you get your stake back if the game ends in a draw.
Spin is offered for both teams from the start. In fact, we believe that this playing field will rotate significantly more than what we saw in the first game and therefore the game could progress very quickly indeed.

Weather Report

The weather forecast for the 2nd Test PAK vs. SL on Sunday 24 July 2022 at R.Premadasa Stadium, Khettarama, Colombo is expected to be mostly cloudy or sunny or clear and rainy. The temperature is expected to be around 12℃ with 81% humidity and a wind speed of 20km/h.

Toss Prediction

The team that wins the toss will want to bat first. This should be seen as a great advantage as we believe the playing field will start to crumble very quickly.

Betting Tips

We will bet on Pakistan to win. His hitting is stronger as Captain Babar Azam goes through a purple blob. Also, we think they'll add another spinner and be a lot more dangerous with the ball in this test too. The odds available for betting on Pakistan are quite attractive.
Bet on Pakistan to win.
