Sri Lanka’s training cricketers to play two practice matches
Twenty five Sri Lankan players who are being trained by the head coach Mickey Arthur and batting coach Grant Flower did not have a stem training session on Monday. Instead, they were asked to do light training at gym and the recovery.
“This is because, the players will have busy days on Tuesday and Wednesday,” a person looking after the players’ schedules said.
“They will be engaged on match practice on both days. On Tuesday, the two teams will be formed an a 50-over match is organized.”
“On Wednesday afternoon, the players will play a T20 practice match. All players assembled will play both the matches,” the person added.
“So far, it has been a successful training. Players will leave for home on July 2. As of now, we have not planned out if there is going to be a third residential camp,” the source pointed.
“Players will be asked to follow the guidelines prescribed by the public health department.”
