Bangladesh have kicked off Asia Cup with a massive victory of 137 runs over Sri Lanka in the first match in Dubai. Here’s have a look at some of the stats from this match.

5- Bangladesh’s fifth win at ODI format Asia Cups. They have lost rest 33 matches out of 38. It’s their second win against Sri Lanka in this form of Asia Cup.

137- Bangladesh’s sixth-largest win in ODI cricket. Previously they won by 163 runs (the biggest) against the same opposition Sri Lanka in Mirpur this year. It’s also the highest margin of victory against Sri Lanka by any team at  Asia Cups.

124- The sixth-lowest score by any team against Bangladesh in ODIs. 147 was the previous lowest score by Sri Lanka against Bangladesh.

43- It took 43 innings for Shakib Al Hasan to be dismissed for a duck in ODIs. The last instance was against Zimbabwe in December 2014. He scored one hundred and 13 fifties since then.

144- Mushfiqur Rahim has registered the second-highest score by a Bangladeshi in ODIs after Tamim Iqbal’s 154. This is also the joint-highest by a batsman at Asia Cups. Younis Khan made 144 against Hong Kong in 2004 and Virat Kohli slammed record 183 versus Pakistan in 2012.

150- Number of balls faced by Mushfiqur in the innings. He is only the fourth Bangladeshi after Shahriar Nafees, Shakib and Tamim to play 150 or more deliveries in an innings.

1- Mushfiqur’s 144 is the highest individual score at Dubai International Stadium, surpassing Kevin Pietersen’s 130 vs Pakistan six years ago.

100- This is the first time a team has won by a margin 100 or more runs at this venue.
