Stats: Mushfiqur’s double gain, Mashrafe’s all-time record
Bangladesh have recorded their series win over Zimbabwe after a seven-wicket win in the second ODI at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.
There were a quite a few milestones achieved by the players in the second ODI including Mushfiqur Rahim’s 200th ODI dismissal and 10000th international run. Here are some of the statistical highlights from the match-
200- Mushfiqur became the first Bangladeshi and overall eleventh wicket-keeper to have 200-plus wicket-keeping dismissals in ODIs. He has now 201 (159 catches, 42 stumpings) in 181 innings.
3- Mushfiqur is the third Bangladeshi to score 10000 runs in international cricket after Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan. The right-hander has done it in 362 innings. He has scored 3699 runs in 62 Tests, 5185 runs in 194 ODIs and 1131 in 74 T20Is. He has 11 international centuries (5 in Tests and 6 in ODIs).
95- Mashrafe Bin Mortaza has led Bangladesh 95 times in international cricket, the most by any Bangladeshi captain. He has captained in 66 ODIs, 28 T20Is and one solitary Test. He surpassed Mushfiqur’s 94 matches.
2- Brendan Taylor became only the second player to have ten 50-plus (including hundreds) against Bangladesh after Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara, who had 5 tons and 6 fifties against them. Taylor has two hundreds and eight half-centuries against Bangladesh. His countryman Sean Williams has nine fifties.
148- Number of runs added by opening partnership of Liton Das and Imrul Kayes. This is the fifth-highest opening partnership for Bangladesh in ODIs. This is the first time since 2014 that an opening stand has added more than 140 without Tamim Iqbal.
10- Bangladesh’s 10th bilateral series win over Zimbabwe in ODIs, the most they have won against. In contrast, Zimbabwe have won six series.
