Stokes is the best all-arounder and Shakib is after him, feels Akash Chopra
Former India batsman Akash Chopra has picked Ben Stokes as the best all rounder and Shakib Al Hasan after him. Stokes has won the World Cup in the epic final with a nervous breakdown, then the team won the latest Ashes historic Headingley Test.
Considering the recent past, the number of pages in Ben Stokes’ heroic story book is only increasing. Former Indian cricketer and current commentator Akash Chopra thinks that the English cricketer is the best all-rounder of the present time. Bangladeshi cricketer Shakib Al Hasan is the second best all-rounder in his eyes.
According to the India-based cricket analyst, Stokes is currently the best all-rounder in the world in all three formats. In second place is Shakib Al Hasan, one of the best cricketers of all time in Bangladesh. At the same time, Akash has chosen his compatriot Rabindra Jadeja as the third best in Qatar.
In a recent analysis on his YouTube channel, Akash said, “At this point of time, there is no doubt in my mind that Ben Stokes is the number one all-rounder in the world across all three formats. He has an average of 43 in Tests, 59 in ODIs over the last two years.
“He has a good bowling average across all formats as well, there is no doubt that Stokes is the number one all-rounder in”.
Bangladeshi supporters can get angry if Stokes is called the best. Before the ban, Shakib made it a rule to rule the world as an all-rounder! Although Akash kept Stokes at the top, he gave Shakib a place right after that. Then he left Jadeja too.
“Rabindra Jadeja is already on that path, but has yet to reach the position of the best all-rounder,” Akash said, placing two stars from two neighboring countries in the top row.
