Stokes likely to join Rajasthan Royals by October first week

England all-rounder Ben Stokes is likely to join Rajasthan Royals camp during the first week of October, after missing out some initial games.

This year’s edition of the Indian Premier League is off to a great start in the United Arab Emirates. There was a long postponement for the tournament due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation across the world. After all the hurdles, the league is on the floors now.

All the franchises have played their opening games of the league and so Rajasthan Royals. Rajasthan Royals off to a terrific start in this year’s IPL campaign. They faced Chennai Super Kings in their season opener and outsmarted Chennai Super Kings by 16 runs at Sharjah.

Meanwhile, the franchise has received another piece of great news as their prominent all-rounder Ben Stokes is likely to join the camp during the first week of October. The all-rounder is unavailable at the moment due to his personal reasons. In fact, he left for New Zealand during England’s long summer season at home, due to personal reasons.

According to the reports from Gulf News, the English all-rounder is set to reach UAE by the first week of next month. Ben Stokes needs to go for a six-day quarantine there and soon after finishing that he will join with his team for the remainder of the season.

The return of Ben Stokes will be a big boost as well as a healthy competition for the four spots of overseas players in the team. Their wicket-keeper batsman Jos Butler will be also available from the next game.
