Stokes loses his temper again over false pay cuts article

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has proposed to cut cricketers’ salaries by 20 per cent in April and May to reduce the financial losses due to playing off due to coronavirus. Cricketers did not respond to ECB’s proposal. They did not want to help the board in this issue during the coronavirus.

Stokes lost his temper when the news appeared in the news media. Stokes has told reporters on Twitter, “This is utter lies.”

George Dobell, senior report of ESPN Cricinfo, wrote the news. Then he shared it on twitter. And it didn’t miss Stokes’ eyes. Stokes retweeted, “HEADLINE HEADLINE HEADLINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Later it was reported that the ECB would not cut the cricketers salary. If cricket does not play throughout the English summer due to coronavirus, the ECB will lose £30 crore pound. That’s why the ECB wanted to reduce the financial loss by cutting the salary of the cricketers.

ECB chief executive Tom Harrison said, “I encourage players to receive less than 20 percent of their pay in April and May.” But later, cricketers protested it through Professional Cricketers’ Association (PCA).
