Sujon: DPL will help the players for Champions Trophy
Bangladesh cricket team will tour Sussex for conditioning camp ahead of Ireland tri-series and ICC Champions Trophy to adapt to the conditions. Bangladesh Cricket Board manager Khaled Mahmud Sujon thinks Dhaka Premier League will be a good preparation for the players.
“The preparation for the team will be better I think because the premier league is being started just after two or three days. It is one of the best tournaments in Bangladesh cricket,” Sujon said.
“Dhaka Premier League (DPL) is challenging. Good competition is held. Boys will definitely try to perform better there. Actually the biggest thing is to restore the performance.
“We will of course leave for England before the end of the league. We will spend 10 days before heading for Ireland. We have been doing well in this format. Hopefully we will play good cricket both in Ireland and England,” he added.
DPL 2017-18 season will kick off on April 12. The national team players will fly for England on April 26 for a ten-day camp in Hove. Although, Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman will miss the camp due to IPL, but there will be few new faces.
