Sunil Gavaskar slams Fakhar Zaman and Dinesh Karthik
The Indian team have registered a victory against Pakistan in the ongoing Asia Cup. While everyone celebrated India’s victory over Pakistan, the former Indian cricketer, Sunil Gavaskar found some mistakes in the game between India and Pakistan.
He is undoubtedly one of the greatest cricketers of the Indian team. He showed so much of respect towards his national jerseys and caps in his younger days.
For the same reason, the former Indian cricketer got angry on Pakistan’s opener Fakhar Zaman. The left-handed cricketer wore his national cap backside front while bowling the 18th over of India’s innings.
At that time, Gavaskar said on air, “Somebody, maybe the captain should tell him that it’s the national cap. He should wear it properly. You can do this in PSL (Pakistan Super League) may be but this is the national team.”
The former Indian cricketer then slammed Dinesh Karthik for sporting his initials ‘DK’ on the back of his jersey. Dinesh Karthik played sensible knock along with Ambati Rayudu to register a victory over Pakistan.
“Maybe that’s his nickname but since the jersey carries his number, people should identify with the name. Maybe with the name, he can have his initials,” he concluded.
Coming to the match, batted first, Pakistan were struggled to face the Indian bowling attack and managed to score just 162 runs. In reply, the Indian openers gave a good start and reached the target inside the 30 overs.
