Taskin, Sunny to test action in Australia

Sunny’s fever temperature is 103 degree Fahrenheit. He hasn’t taken the passport and visa from Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). Today he has to take it as he will fly for Australia today with Taskin Ahmed, who is also going to give Test. They will be accompanied by head coach Chandika Hathurusingha.

Arafat Sunny and Taskin Ahmed were reported after Tigers’ opening World T20 2016 game against Netherlands in Dharamsala. They gave test immediately at ICC-approved lab in Chennai. But the result didn’t come in favour of them. Both of them were suspended from bowling in International cricket.

Sunny and Taskin have played Dhaka Premier League this year. They will give test on September 8 at National Cricket Centre lab in Brisbane. The test will be taken at 10:30 am local time. If Sunny remains sick on exam day too, he will take medicine.

Sunny is hopeful about his test. He said to Prothom Alo, “Everybody here said that my action is now okay. Ruwan Kalpage (then assistant coach of Bangladesh) had also said that I don’t have the problem which I had. I am also hopeful that I don’t have any issue in my action.

“I am getting more turn and bounce than earlier. My deliveries didn’t drift that time, now its working. The more a bowl, the more I will be accurate. But I need permission from ICC. If I get that, I can work with it with more confidence. But I need time to adapt to my new action,” he added.

Taskin Ahmed is also confident of his action. He and Sunny along with coach Hathurusingha with might come back to Bangladesh on September 11. The result of their actions will be known with in two to three weeks.
