One of the most talked-about incidents of IPL 2020 is the banter between the young batsman and Indian skipper Virat Kohli during the second league meeting between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. The incident created a big controversy and that continued even after the end of the tournament. That further came into the spotlight again when the Mumbai Indians batsman liked a controversial tweet about Virat Kohli on Twitter.

Now the Mumbai batsman himself opened up about the banter that happened between him and the Indian skipper in the particular game. Yadav said that it was an instinctive banter and in the end, he got the recognition from Virat Kohli. He said that Virat Kohli appreciated his knock on that particular game after the match.

“It was fun out there, I was under pressure, but I wanted to deliver badly in that game as I knew a big game was coming for Mumbai Indians because we thought if we would’ve won that game, we would have gone on top of the table and I badly wanted to get runs in that game and I was really happy to contribute at that moment,” Yadav said to Sports Tak.

“The banter was very instinctive from both ends because I have been looking up to him since he has been dominating world cricket for a long time. His energy, his domination, everything has been spot on in whatever format he plays for whatever team,” he added.
