Suspended Warner plays with Aussie bowlers in SCG nets
Despite remaining banned from playing cricket for Australia, opener David Warner came in the SCG nets before the 3rd T20I against India on Sunday and faced the Aussie fast bowlers in the nets.
It was seen that Warner appeared in the net session and faced Test pacers Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood and was also seen getting some tips from coach Justin Langer.
Recently, Cricket Australia (CA) declined the proposal of Australian Cricketers’ Association (ACA), who demanded to lift the bans of Steve Smith, Peter Bancroft and Warner.
However, Warner is not disappointed with the decision and now aims to play in the upcoming World Cup in 2019.
“What happened (in Cape Town) was very disappointing, we are ashamed of what happened. At the end of the day I’m sitting here 12 months on the sideline, that’s my take on it. The end result and the long-form goal is to get back in the Baggy Green and play the World Cup (next year). But it’s a game at a time,” he said.
After ending the net session, the left-handed opener shared smiles and a warm embrace with the Aussie quicks and the support staff.

Warner and Smith have four months left of their 12-month ban and the ban will be over right before the World Cup.
