For its mysterious characteristics it was the hot topic of the match. But the home side’s key batsman, legendary opener Tamim Iqbal snatched all the lights of the match.

Tamim was the top scorer in Bangladesh’s second innings with 78 runs while scored 71 runs in his first-innings.

Although the “unpredictable” nature of the wicket had made Tamim’s innings more valuable, he has been playing tremendous cricket since last few years. There was no question ever about the capability of Tamim but if we look back to his career we will find that he had rarely met with consistency in the earlier phase of his career.

So, a simple question will arise on everyone’s mind about what are the reasons behind the completely changed Tamim Iqbal?

Tamim Iqbal has recently revealed the mystery.

While talking with the press he said – ‘ I read an interview of MS Dhoni in which he said “Cricket is a very brutal game. When you are out of form and aren’t getting the runs everything will start acting brutally. You would meet the best bowler in the crease. You would play a great shot but would find it unfortunately in the hand of opponent’s fielder. Even the worst fielder of opponent would take a one handed catch!’

“That’s why in my tough time I just tried to keep patience and avoid the expensive mistakes,” Dhoni said.

The words of one of the most successful captain of India inspired Tamim Iqbal to gain his form back once again.

Undoubtedly Tamim is passing the best time of his career. And he may face bitter time in future. But certainly his well-wishers will like to see him confident as he is now.
