At one point of the live session, Tamim told to du Plessis, “I want to talk to you about BPL. Have you ever watched a BPL match?”

But due to non-broadcasting of BPL in South Africa, there has been no opportunity to watch BPL match, said du Plessis. However, he keeps track of how his familiar players are doing in the tournament. One of the best players of South Africa and T20 specialist AB de Villiers and former star opener Hashim Amla played in BPL.

Du Plessis simply admitted, “The BPL is not seen live in South Africa. I follow cricinfo. And see how the familiar players are doing. But no live match was seen due to non-broadcasting issue.”

After that, Tamim invited du Plessis to come and play in the BPL and also offered to play for his team. The Bangladesh ODI captain also assured that he (du Plessis) will enjoy the tournament surely.

“It’s a great tournament,” said Tamim.

“There is a lot of excitement in the matches. You have to promise me that this time you’ll come to play in BPL and especially in my team.”

In reply, du Plessis expressed interest in coming to Bangladesh to play. “I told you before, I will definitely go to Bangladesh to play cricket. BPL, yes. But I think that’s not the right place to talk about that,” he said.
