But what former Pakistan cricketer Aamer Sohail said, maybe Tamim would be little disappointed. Tamim contributed in many Bangladesh wins till now. Even, in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), the 31-year old left-handed batsman scored century in the final and won the trophy for his team. And for these, different franchise teams around the world call him every year. But for Aamer Sohail, Tamim is not a big match player.

Tamim’s team Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings will face tonight in the final of the fifth PSL. Ahead of the title-determining match, Aamer selected the 11 best players of the final match for Fantasy XI at an analysis by a Pakistani cricket community.

54-year old Aamer chose Alex Hales of England and Sharjeel Khan of Pakistan as openers. Sharjeel is not in form, Tamim could have been taken the place, but why Tamim was not picked – a supporter also asked Aamer this question.

In reply he said: “Tamim can’t make runs in big matches. Look at his statistics in the finals of the past years, there were no runs beside his name. But you can give him a chance.”

Aamer Sohail played 47 Tests and 156 ODIs for Pakistan from 1992 to 2000.
