Tamim puts on encouragement for Bangladesh openers

Tamim to play for World XI?One more time Bangladesh Test skipper Mushfiqur Rahim won the toss and once more the visitors opted to bowl first. The saga has not come to an end; the proceeding of the second and final Test at the Mangaung Oval seemed to be a repeated version of the first Test at the Senwes Park.

Bangladesh bowlers keep struggling to make a grip to the strong South African batting line up. At lunch of day two, the home team crossed 500 run mark; four of the South African top batsmen scored hundreds.

Having no other way to score big innings for Bangladesh batsmen now, opener Tamim Iqbal is delivering encouragement after being sidelined by injuries.

Tamim said, “Whoever present in the field yesterday, watched how Proteas openers batted. It is important not to let away any opportunity of scoring. I can say, manage good deliveries along with scoring adding runs on the board.”

“We have to bat much better than the first Test. I believe we are now a better Test team than the way we played in the previous match. We have to make a good first innings total here and wait to follow the match scenario later on,” he said.

Tamim also said, “Bangladesh could not play much in South Africa. This is a big opportunity for us. A fifty or hundred would enhance the confidence of any batsman.
