Tamim stars in his first match of the season in PSL

Tamim Iqbal has started the Pakistan Super League 2017 season for Peshawar Zalmi with a bang as he scored an unbeaten half-century in his first game of the tournament against Quetta Gladiators at Sharjah Cricket Stadium. [Watch also: পিএসলের অভিষেকে মাহমুদুল্লাহর ২৯ রানের ঝড়ো ইনিংস]

Tamim started the innings with a boundary. He was looking confident on a tough Sharjah pitch. The match was hit by rain by several times.

But the Bangladeshi southpaw didn’t stop scoring runs. He brought up his 27th Twenty20 half-century in 41 balls. He made an unbeaten 75-run partnership with Sohaib Maqsood which helped Zalmi post 117 for three wickets in 16 overs after a slow start.

Tamim ended up with unbeaten 62 runs off 46 deliveries including 4 fours and 4 sixes at a strike rate of 134.78.
