Tamim's injury scare comes true
The concern regarding the injury of national opener Tamim Iqbal was confirmed by the official MRI scan report today, as it revealed that the meniscus in his left knee was torn.
It has cast some shadow over his eorld cup participation. Even though it takes around a month to recover from an arthroscopic surgery which he will require and the world cup is seven weeks away, the last date for submitting the world cup squad is on January 7. This has caused many to doubt whether BCB will risk playing him.
BCB physician Dr. Debashish Chowdhury said, “We have sent the reports to specialists in Australia, and we are waiting for their suggestions. After that we will make a decision.”
Tamim complained of a hamstring pain on December 1, and then subsequent tests indicated possibilities of knee injury. Sadly for Tamim and Bangladesh cricket, that has come true.
