Taskin Ahmed has been sidelined for a long time due to injury. Taskin missed the ongoing Test series against the West Indies due to injury. However, he is fit and ready to play ODI and T20I series against the same opponent.
Many cricketers choose specific formats nowadays to get rid of injuries. But the pacer wants to serve the country consistently in all three formats.
Taskin has been sidelined many times due to injury since the start of his international career. Due to the busy schedule in the current cricket, the risk of injury to the players has also increased. So many cricketers who get injured more than once play by choosing the format or match.
However, the 27-year-old Bangladeshi pacer still does not want to go that route. “I want to play all formats. If I notice ever I can’t, I will inform. But now I don't really think so. Now is the right time to get fit and play well. My dream is to be world-class. The time has not yet come when I need rest. If you ever feel like I can't manage, I'll inform. But it is not yet the perfect time,” he said.
Taskin, who has just returned from injury, is ready to give his 100% against the Caribbean. “I want to give my best for the team’s victory. I always wish for this. In fact, fast bowlers get injured often. You have to come back well when it happens, this is the challenge and it is fun too. So now I want to focus on what I have,” the pacer added.
