Tawhid Hridoy makes world record in U19 cricket
Tawhid Hridoy becomes the first-ever batsman to score three consecutive hundreds in the history of U19 cricket.
Bangladesh’s U19 star Tawhid Hridoy is having the series of his life against Sri Lanka U19 as he becomes the first batsman to score three hundred in a row in U19 cricket. After remaining unbeaten in the 3rd ODI for 123* and scoring 115 in the 4th, Tawhid has now scored 111 in the last ODI.
In the 5th and the last ODI, Bangladesh opted to bat first after winning the toss. Pritom Kumar got an opportunity as an opener in place of Tanzid Hassan as he was rested. However, he couldn’t utilize the opportunity as he departed for only one.
But Sajid Hossain and Prantik Nawroz repaired the early damaged and built a solid partnership of 57. After the departure of Sajid, the man in form Tawhid came into the crease.
The dynamic batsman kept on going and made his way to the record books by playing another masterclass knock which led to his 3rd consecutive hundred. With 3 fours and 5 sixes, Tawhid scored 111 runs and it guided Bangladesh to a big total of 283 runs with the loss of 7 wickets.
