Pakistani bowling coach Shaun Tait has heaped praise on Shaheen Shah Afridi, saying the best hitters in the world don't like to face him.

Pakistani bowling coach Shaun Tait has said that the spearhead of the pace, Shaheen Afridi, is a world-class bowler and top hitters around the world don't want to face him. Tait also explained why facing Shaheen is an intimidating experience for the thugs.
Shaheen has been Pakistan's frontline pacer in recent years as he has been in the scheme of selection and team management across formats. The left-armed speedster had also received the prestigious Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for ICC Men's Cricketer of the Year 2021.
"The way the crowd gets involved when he's bowling is all the fuss. Most right-handers know they're being tested with an in-swinger, but they still don't have the answers.”
Tait was named the national team's bowling coach in February and is excited to see how these bowlers develop over the coming months.
"I'm fairly new to this job so the next 8-9 months is going to be very exciting to see how these pacers develop," Shaun said.
Discussing his coaching mantra, Tait claimed that he doesn't try to overcomplicate things and focuses on enhancing her natural abilities.
“All of these players have natural talent and ability and my job is to guide them. For me, it's about keeping it simple and continuing to hone her natural abilities and maintain her confidence," concluded Tait.
Meanwhile, Shaheen has been playing non-stop for the past few months and has also taken time off from his busy schedule to attend the 2022 County Championship for a brief stint, where he represented Middlesex. Aside from winning the ICC award for individual excellence, this year has also been good for the big fast bowler overall.
Under his captaincy, the Lahore Qalandars won their first PSL title in February, beating the in-form Multan Sultans, who were also the holders. Afridi has been in fine form in recent years and he received immediate recognition after beating arch-rivals India at the 2021 T20 World Cup in UAE. He was responsible for the famous top spot for the Men in Blue, including Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli, as Pakistan successfully celebrated their maiden World Cup win over India.
