India have rested their key bowler Jasprit Bumrah considering his workload and this will be a challenge for the bowling department. With all the main players in the team than Bumrah, let’s have a look at three players who will have special attention in the ODI series.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Indian medium pace bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar didn’t have the fruitful year of 2018 as he had some niggles with him for most of the time and he delivered a lot lesser than he did in 2017. He picked only 11 wickets in the 14 games he played.

Although he was not among wickets, he always has a good partnership with Jasprit Bumrah with the new ball as well as the old ball. But this time, Bhuvneshvar Kumar will have to lead the pace attack and he will surely miss his partner Jasprit Bumrah.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has a major role to play in the pace department with having youngsters along with him in the likes of Mohammad Siraj and Khaleel Ahmed. So all eyes will be on him in the pace department.

Kuldeep Yadav

Kuldeep Yadav

Kuldeep Yadav is turning out to be the key factor for India in recent times in the limited overs format. The new spin twin pair will also have a lot of works to do in Australia.

Next, to Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav is the key one for India in the bowling department. The 24-year-old chinaman was the second highest wicket-taker in 2018 as he took 45 wickets 19 games at an average of 17.777, a strike-rate of 22.9 and an economy of 4.64.

Kuldeep Yadav had tasted success in South Africa as well as in England. The big boundaries in Australia will offer more chances for Chinaman bowler to grab something in his pocket. Kuldeep Yadav will be the strike bowler for India in the ODI series.

Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma to play for Mumbai in Vijay Hazare Trophy

Rohit Sharma is always well known among fans for his hot form against Australia whether it is in India or Australia. Last time when India toured Australia for ODIs, Rohit Sharma was the lead batsman for India along with the present skipper Virat Kohli.

The right-handed batsman is having a good rhythm with the bat in recent times. Apart from his failure in ODIs against South Africa during the earlier part of 2017, Rohit had an amazing 2017 with the bat.

As usual Rohit Sharma will be the backbone of Indian batting line-up along with the skipper Virat Kohli and his opening partner Shikhar Dhawan. With Aussies having a young bowling attack, there will be more eyes on Rohit Sharma in this series too.
