Tickets to pay back if the next World Cup happens in India


The 2020 T20 World Cup has been postponed due to ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Those who have already bought tickets for this year’s World Cup are now looking to India and Australia. If next year’s World Cup happens in India, ticket buyers will get their money back. However, if it is in Australia, it will not be returned.

The coronavirus pandemic in 2020 turned the cricket world upside down. The World Cup has also been postponed after many series were postponed. Another T20 World Cup in 2021 was already scheduled. The ICC has set another T20 World Cup in 2022 as this year’s World Cup has been postponed. There is also a world event in 2023.

The 2021 T20 World Cup was to be held in India. But the ICC has also postponed the decision on where next year’s World Cup will be held as this year’s World Cup has been postponed. The 2023 ODI World Cup will also be held in India again, so India wants to host the T20 World Cup in 2021. The country is reluctant to host the Twenty20 World Cup in 2022 as it will be difficult for them to host two World Cups in a row.

It has not yet been decided which World Cup will be held in India and which in Australia in the next two years. However, the ICC has given good news for those who have already bought tickets for the Australia World Cup. Tickets will be refunded if next year’s World Cup is held in India. And if the 2021 World Cup is held in Australia, tickets will not be refunded. The ICC has announced that this ticket will be usable till 2021.

However, if Australia leaves the World Cup in 2022, you have to apply online by December 15 this year to get your ticket refunded. The ICC will refund the money within one month of the application following the prescribed procedure.

It is to be noted that the ICC meeting on Monday (July 20) has decided that the next edition of the T20 World Cup will be held in October-November 2021. The final will be played on November 14. Another T20 World Cup will be held in October-November next year. The final of that event will be held on November 13, 2022. The final of the ODI World Cup to be held in October-November 2023 will be played on November 26, hosted by India.
