Titans to be in the champion's raceThe fifth edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is knocking at the door and the official battle with bat and ball are scheduled to be started from fourth of November. The excitement has already reached at the peak and the supporters are busy in amputation of their team’s squad.

Obviously after the splendid performances of Khulna Titans in their first appearance of BPL last year, this time their fans are a bit more confident. In the first edition back in 2012, the team from the Khulna region known as Khulna Royal Bengals had finished the league stage at the second place and played in the semi-final.

But in the very last season where they had played as Khulna Titans finished the league at the bottom place. For the fifth edition of BPL, Titans have picked up a great squad.

Especially the signing of seven overseas cricketers has made their squad more balanced for this edition of the tournament. Besides their experienced captain Mahmudullah Riyad will also play a very vital rule.

Along with Mahmudullah, Australia’s hard-hitting batsman Chris Lynn, Pakistan Captain Sarfaraz Ahmed, Rilee Rossouw, Lendl Simmons and Riki Wessels will be the backbone of the team.

While Shafiul Islam, Shadab Khan, leg-spinner Seekkuge Prasanna, Kyle Abbott will have to lead the bowling attack. Pakistani seamers Mohammad Asghar and Junaid Khan are also there. Besides youngsters like Afif Hossain, Nazmul Hossain Shanto, Saif Hasan and Abu Jayed will try their best to make the best use of this big platform.

Pace all-rounder Mukthar Ali also will be in the spot light.
