Twitter flattered on Indo-Afghan’s tie match
Afghanistan ended their Asia Cup journey this year with a thrilling tie against India at Dubai International Stadium yesterday.
The match which bore no importance to the outcome of the tournament, showcased an enchanting fight between the two contesting teams and probated a tie between India and Afghanistan.
After the match, India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni uttered high appraisal for the rising nation said the cricket in that country have reached into a height.
“I think their cricket has gone up a lot,” Dhoni said.
“If you see how they’ve continued playing right from the start of the Cup, it’s been commendable. They’re the one country that has risen through the ranks,” India skipper said.
Afghanistan couldn’t win against Bangladesh and Pakistan instead they lost in the last over in both matches. However, they didn’t lose against India this time in their last game of Unimoni Asia Cup 2018. Their performance in this Asia Cup has been praised on Twitter, whereas criticism’s arrows were on Ravindra Jadeja’s foolish batting in the end. Take a look at some of the tweets-

Did you hear about the time India needed seven to win and Sir Jadeja hit a six followed by two singles but still didn’t win the match?

— Sir Ravindra Jadeja (@SirJadeja) September 25, 2018
Afghanistan deserved this. A tie but in all fairness they have played unbelievably well and are a force to reckon with. Afghanistan must be very proud , they have some real winners #IndvAfg

Oh that poor sardar kid crying. He should be allowed to beat up KL Rahul for taking that review, and one baby slap to Jadeja too.

Afghanistan, the most compelling team in world cricket, tie with India. 10 years ago Afghanistan were playing with Japan and Botswana.

So Dhoni, cleverly, tongue in cheek, says there were a couple of things he can’t talk about because be doesn’t want to be fined!

IT’S A TIE!!
Rashid Khan gets Jadeja with the scores level so the game is tied!

Ravindra Jadeja has batted in the 50th over when chasing twice in his ODI career and both times the match ended as TIE!

What a game! What a shot from Jadeja!
— Peter Miller (@TheCricketGeek) September 25, 2018
Ravindra Jadeja did so well until that last shot. But, now fans will only remember that last shot. #INDvAFG
— Madhav Sharma (@HashTagCricket) September 25, 2018
But only Jadeja can play like a mature guy for 99% of his knock before losing it at the end with that hoick. Anyway, a good test with some known results.

I don’t think we crumbled. When the ball starts slowing & spinning like that, it is hard for middle order batsmen to come in & get the runs going. I think DK (Dinesh Karthik) played really well & in the end Jadeja & Deepak put up a decent fight: KL Rahul #INDvsAFG #AsiaCup2018 pic.twitter.com/LN5OVQz8ah
