Kohli gives thumbs up to Rabada for gifting 5 runs to Team India in the form of wayward throw.

Mayank Agarwal proved that the double century which he scored in the first match was no fluke as he carried out his scintillating form in the second match. He brought up his century in style with the help of 16 fours and 2 sixes and was dismissed on 108.

On the contrary, Rohit Sharma had a bad day at the office as he got out cheaply for just 14 runs. Then Cheteshwar Pujara showed some tempo where he could garner 58 runs (9 fours, 1 six). After he got out, it was all Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane’s show.

Apart from India’s batting exploits that dominated South African bowling attack, there was one thing that was clearly seen and it was Kagiso Rabada’s aggression. He was the pick of the bowlers for his team where he picked all the three wickets, responsible for dismissing top-order batsmen.

However, on the field, Rabada experienced a sloppy moment and his reckless mistake gifted five runs to Kohli and the delighted Indian skipper thanked Rabada by giving him a thumbs up.

It all started when Virat Kohli middled the ball towards Rabada and ran in the hope of stealing a single off Maharaj’s delivery.

However, Rabada was slow to react as he collected the ball and let out a wrong throw which was nowhere close to the wicketkeeper’s end and since there was no fielder to stop it, the ball travelled at a blistering pace and reached the boundary. Rabada’s throw resulted in 5 overthrows.

South Africa skipper Faf du Plessis and Maharaj were annoyed with the effort.
