Twitter reacts as Denly missed a sitter against New Zealand

England’s tour of New Zealand proved to be a real nasty for the visitors. Joe Denly was in the headlines recently for missing an absolute sitter during the passage of play. It seems he might have lost his focus on the field and after he dropped the catch, Archer gave a priceless reaction.

The fast bowler who outsmarted Kane Williamson started celebrating prematurely but was left shocked after Joe Denly dropped a sitter to hand Williamson a gift. This must be surely the worst catch of all time.

England who seemed to pose no threat to New Zealand before the second day of the second Test were handed huge boost when skipper Joe Root and Ollie Pope stepped up and added a 193-run partnership. Needless to say, England could not convert their chances later on in the game with the ball after restricting the New Zealand top order to 28/2 at the end of the day’s play.

In the next day, one such incident that summed up England’s Test series took place in Jofra Archer over. The right-arm quick surprised Williamson when he changed his bowling action, as he pitched in with a knuckleball in the process.

Williamson, who was looking good for his candid 62 in the innings, was caught off-guard and was shocked by the Archer’s knuckleball, middled the delivery straight into the hands of Joe Denly who missed to grab it in his safe pair of hands.
