Twitter trolls Harbhajan over silly vaccine remark
Harbhajan Singh did not play the recently-concluded Indian Premier League citing personal reasons. He backed out of the IPL just days ahead of the start. As the days progressed, the Chennai Super Kings franchise removed his name from its official website.
The out-of-favour off-spinner never shies away from expressing his opinions on social media. In fact, he is a busy man on social media platforms. Be it Twitter or Instagram, the cricketer often updates status or posts a story or comments on cricketers’ posts to have some fun.

The cricketer was involved in a fresh controversy after he wrote if India really needed a vaccine considering its recovery rate. Though it was his own opinion, it was not received well by Twitterati.
Nobody expected this type of comment from the Turbanator and the netizens didn’t spare him as they launched a scathing attack on the cricketer on Twitter.
“PFIZER AND BIOTECH Vaccine:
Accuracy *94%
Moderna Vaccine: Accuracy *94.5%
Oxford Vaccine: Accuracy *90%
Indian Recovery rate (Without Vaccine): 93.6%
Do we seriously need vaccine ??,” the Indian veteran off-spinner tweeted.

The coronavirus epidemic has totally interrupted the whole world in the month of March. However, things improved as the months progressed. The cricketing activities were cancelled and IPL was postponed for an indefinite period of time. However, the BCCI pulled off a masterclass by hosting the IPL in the United Arab Emirates.
The cash-rich tournament was played behind closed doors as no fan was allowed to watch the games. Just like IPL, most of the international matches were played in a bio-secure bubble except for India’s tour of Australia. Cricket Australia made the necessary arrangements in such a way that people are safe. The first two ODIs at the SCG were played with 50 per cent crowd capacity.
Harbhajan Singh’s comment sparked controversy on Twitter. Netizens asked him to do the math properly as they schooled the cricket online. A large section of the users also asked him to delete WhatsApp, a place where rumours and information are wrongly spread.
The off-spinner didn’t expect that his comments would trigger a whole lot of controversy. Netizens gave him lessons on data analysis and mathematics. Several users also highlighted the difference between a country’s recovery rate and the efficacy rate of vaccines.
YES! Because the seven per cent that are dying in absence of medicine need a chance. Also, stop copy-pasting WhatsApp forwards without even a single google search ??♀️

If there was a 5% chance that the plane will crash, will u board it?
A recovery rate of 93.6% means 6.4% will get serious/die.
Now calculate the 6.4% of 1.4 billion population!! DO THE MATH!

If everyone in indian cricket team has a MoM award, then India should win all matches.
It doesn't happen that way, bhai. Statistics can be misleading and can help make a fool of ourselves.

Recovery rate of 93.6 % means 6.4 out of 100 people die. Do u want to be in that list ?
95 % effective means you have 95 out of 100 chances of not being in that list. Take you choice Chicha
Also remember recovery also comes up with load of pain, expenses and later complications— Dr.P.S.VishnuVardhan (@drpsvvardhan) December 3, 2020
